What Is Included in the Price?

The room rates include the free use of numerous inclusive services. Whether wellness area, fitness room, WiFi, ski & bike depot or various other amenities, you can look forward to many extras without paying extra.
Full freedom – no frills, you only pay for what you need. Daily room cleaning is therefore not automatically included.

Breakfast, half board, Restaurant Food Market by AVES?

If you book your room with half board, you can enjoy our extensive breakfast buffet every day. In the evening, you can help yourself to our delicious selection at the Food Market and selected soft drinks and coffee after dinner are also included.

Even if you have booked your room without breakfast or dinner, you can of course spontaneously decide to have breakfast or dinner with us at any time. For dinner, you can choose the All Inn option and serve yourself freely in the Food Market, including selected soft drinks and coffee. If you are only a little hungry or prefer to eat in your room with your favorite series, there is a scale in the Food Market. You can help yourself freely, weigh up and pay directly at the check-out kiosk.

The Food Market also has to-go dishes. So if you’re staying in a vacation apartment and want to eat there, or simply at the lake, or on a bench in the forest, or…… It’s AVES! Your Adventure. Tailor made.

If you would like to eat with us in the restaurant in the evening, please don’t forget to reserve your table in good time! If you have booked half board, a table will of course automatically be reserved for you in the restaurant.

When will my room be cleaned?

You only pay for room cleaning if you actually use it. Daily cleaning is not included in your room rate. You can of course book daily room cleaning when you make your booking if you wish. However, you can also order cleaning for individual days on site with a lead time of two days. Of course, the final cleaning of your room is included in your room rate.

Check-In and Check-Out?

Arrival: You will be notified immediately by email and WhatsApp as soon as your room is ready. From that point on, you can check in directly via your phone and head straight to your room. Early arrival is of course also possible – you’re welcome to store your luggage in our luggage room. Rooms are guaranteed from 4:00 pm.

Departure: We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:00 am. Of course, you’re welcome to leave your luggage with us afterwards. There’s also a shower available if you need to freshen up after an action-packed day before heading home.
For a late check-out, please contact our Guest Hosts at the reception. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and not included.

Self Check-In

Thanks to an innovative self-check-in concept, you can check in completely independently before your arrival using your cell phone or tablet and receive your room key and all the information you need on your mobile device. No tedious filling out of forms, no queuing at reception – arrive, open your room door and enjoy your vacation from the very first second.

Cashless

Probably the most drastic change is in the accepted means of payment – the Hotel AVES is completely cashless. Credit and debit cards are accepted, but contactless payment by cell phone is particularly popular.

What Parking Options Are Available?

There is a large outdoor parking lot right next to the hotel, which is available to you free of charge. If this is full at peak times, we have a second parking lot about 200 meters from the hotel.
There are two parking spaces directly in front of the hotel entrance for loading and unloading on arrival and departure. However, we ask that you do not leave your car in these spaces overnight.

Are There Charging Stations for Electric Cars?

Would you like to travel by electric car? Not only the environment will be happy, but so will we. There is a Shell Recharge charging station at the valley station of the Savognin mountain railroads (300m from the hotel).

What Should I Consider for a Late Arrival?

Arriving late in the evening? No problem, you won’t be standing in front of a locked door. Please do your mobile check-in on your smartphone in advance, then you will receive your room key and access to the night entrance directly on your phone.
If you are standing in front of the main entrance, the night entrance is around the corner to the left.

Extra Beds & Baby Cot

We do have baby cots, of course, but the number is limited. Please reserve in advance We don’t have extra beds, but we do have the perfect room for (almost) every family size and all needs. Here you can take a closer look at our different room types.

What is the Best Price Guarantee?

If you find a cheaper price than the one directly offered by the hotel, the hotel will match it, eliminating any reason to book through other portals.

Is there a wellness area?

Our wellness area is open daily from 15:00. There is a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, infrared cabin, heated bench, experience showers and a relaxation room with access to a fresh air terrace.

How far are the mountain railways ski lifts from the hotel?

The Savognin cable car valley station is 300 meters from the hotel. If there is enough snow, you can strap on your skis in front of the ski room and ski down to the valley station. If there is enough snow, you can also ski from the valley run directly to the hotel’s ski room.

Where is the nearest train station/airport, and do you offer a train station or airport transfer?

It is 175 km from the international airport in Zurich to Savognin. There is also a train station at the airport. Here you can see your connection to us by public transport and buy your ticket directly. From the Savognin Posta bus stop it is about a 10-minute walk to the hotel.

We are happy to organize an airport transfer or a transfer from the bus stop with an external partner for you. We will charge the costs directly to your room bill. We require at least 48 hours’ notice for the organization.
By car from Zurich via the A3 and A13 towards Chur. Continue past Chur to the Thusis Süd exit and from there follow the signs to Savognin.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are very welcome at the AVES Hotel Savognin. However, they are not allowed in the restaurant. A maximum of two pets are allowed per room.

Do you need snow chains in winter?

The snow clearance here in Graubünden is exemplary and with a car with 4×4 or four-wheel drive there are never any problems reaching our hotel. Nevertheless, it is possible that snow chains are needed in the event of exceptionally heavy snowfall. However, this is usually only for short periods of 1 – 2 hours until the roads can be cleared again… We have good coffee.

Where can you rent ski equipment and how do you get ski passes?

There are two sports stores within walking distance of the hotel. The Bananas Sport Shop and Wasescha Sport. Both stores offer everything you need for a successful day in the mountains – summer or winter.
The Savognin mountain railroads have dynamic ticket pricing. This means that the earlier you book your tickets, the cheaper they are. You can find the online store here.

Is there a ski cellar and bike cellar?

You can safely store your winter or summer equipment in the hotel’s own ski bike depot during your vacation at Hotel AVES Savognin. The ski boot racks are heated so that you can get into warm boots in the morning. There are no individually lockable lockers. After challenging trails, there is a bike wash area directly in front of the entrance to the Ski Bike Depot.

Are you in the mood for biking in summer?

Routes with riding fun for every riding style await you: from leisurely to sporty and easy to difficult. Varied trails await you in the Val Surses bike region, allowing every type of biker to find their flow. Whether you’re new to biking, a family or an ambitious enduro rider, the trails in Val Surses will make every biker’s heart beat faster. What does the Val Surses guest card include and how do I get it?

If you stay one night or more, you will receive the guest card by email after online check-in. This allows you to use numerous services free of charge or at a reduced rate throughout your stay. You can find more information here.

Where can I go hiking in summer?

You can start right outside the front door and are never wrong, no matter which direction you head off in. Thanks to the free mountain railroads and free public transport in summer with the guest card, you don’t need to worry if you run out of energy – just walk to the nearest bus stop and back to your home base in comfort. What activities can I do with my family?

Savognin is known for being a family destination – summer and winter.
Whether it’s the La Nars children’s ski paradise, the Lai Barnagn swimming lake, the various themed hiking trails for all ages, kids-only offers in the guest program, fire pits and playgrounds and much more. On the Val Surses homepage you will find detailed information about all the offers and possibilities.

Our hotel has an indoor and outdoor playground for the children, if the eventful day hasn’t been enough to get rid of all the energy before a well-deserved night’s sleep.

What are the cancellation policies?

All rooms booked with a cancelable rate can be canceled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival.
